Coronavirus Statement

  • News

As everyone knows we are in the midst of a global health crisis. The Covid-19 virus poses a high level of risk to humans and we owe each other a duty of care to try to mitigate its impact.

Massage is a wonderful tool for promoting physical health and mental well- being. Unfortunately, as a ‘hands on’ therapy it is inappropriate given the social distancing measures we are now being urged to adopt.

For this reason, GB Massage will temporarily cease trading until advice from the government and our regulatory professional bodies the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and the SMA (Sports Massage Association) changes.

The situation is a fluid one and changing daily. Here is a link to an informative government website should you wish to read anything further about Coronavirus: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

If you do find yourself home alone, or stuck with one or two lesser preferred friends and relations, it’s easy to become disaffected and sluggish. At the risk of stating the obvious, do try to get as much natural light as possible. Try to keep active. Get up and move around particularly if you notice that you’ve been sitting for a long time. Do something creative and inspiring; painting, modelling, practicing that Accordion or reading a book. Please don’t keep re-reading advice or watching the news if it’s unhelpful to you.

If you are struggling, tell someone. Remember, I care about you.
